A Warm Welcome

As a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience, I have guided hundreds of individuals and couples in their journey towards health, insight, acceptance and growth. Regardless of the kinds of difficulties you have faced, the therapeutic process offers the hope for change.

I conduct individual psychotherapy with adults and older teenagers, focusing on personal growth, enriched relationships, and overcoming the barriers which we create for ourselves in life.

As a Couples’ Therapist, I strive to improve communication, deepen empathy and understanding, and build greater satisfaction and intimacy.

When couples have decided upon divorce, I coach them in communication, planning and co-parenting, so that their divorce can proceed with dignity, respect, and concern for the well-being of everyone in the family.

About Dr. Cole

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University, and my Doctorate from Michigan State University. After an internship and a post-doc at the University of California-San Francisco, I began my career at the Stanford University Medical Center. Since then I have been Director of Training at Woodside Women’s Hospital, and have maintained a busy private practice. In 2006 I retrained as a mediator and divorce coach, and since then have attended hundreds of hours of workshops and advanced trainings on Divorce Mediation and Collaborative Divorce. I am a member of the American Psychological Association, and founder of the Glastonbury Psychotherapy Network. I also belong to the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, served for two years as Co-President of the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group, and from 2016-2018 I served as the President of the Connecticut Council for Non-adversarial Divorce. I continue to serve on the Executive Committee of CCND’s board.
