Mediation

When couples have difficulty coming to agreement about the needs of their children, a third party can help them resolve important parenting decisions. Through the mediation process I can help you to find mutually acceptable solutions, without turning family problems into legal matters. Some of my mediation clients work with attorney-mediators on the financial aspects of their divorce, while others may be working in a more traditional, adversarial approach to divorce. However, parents generally recognize the importance of working together on issues regarding their children, and many prefer to mediate family issues rather than negotiate them in court. As part of my mediation practice, I can help you to build a developmentally appropriate parenting plan that addresses the unique needs of your family.

Family Mediation can also help parents in the years after their divorce, as life circumstances change and new agreements need to be created. Instead of taking each other to court, parents can work together in mediation to craft new agreements regarding their growing children.
